VSA arts of Nevada partners with Artown, Tune Into Kids Fair, Arts in Bloom, and many other special events to bring the arts to as many Nevadans as possible. Since 1996, VSA arts of Nevada has been an integral part of the historic Lake Mansion located on the corner of Arlington Avenue and Court Street in Reno. In 2004, VSA arts of Nevada moved the mansion from the Convention Center site (Kietzke Avenue and Virginia Street) and renovated it to house VSA arts administrative offices, an art studio and the historic main floor. VSA arts of Nevada now owns the mansion and is responsible for its thoughtful restoration, preservation and year-round use as a cultural and historic site. In 2007, VSA arts built the adjacent Garden Pavilion for year-round use as a program and rental space. Two rooms of the Lake Mansion are devoted to the Art Access Gallery featuring work created by emerging and professional artists with disabilities. Artists receive 85% of whatever is sold with 15% to VSA arts to help promote the Art Access Gallery. In typical gallery settings, the split is 50/50.
