Art Workshops/Camps for Kids

Registration is easy, but if you have any technical problems PLEASE call us (775-826-6100, ext. 3# or e-mail info@vsanevda.org)  and let us know.    Simply click on the “Register” link below the course description and pay by credit card (MC, VISA, Discover) on-line. To print a registration form to mail (250 Court Street, Reno, NV  89501)/fax (775-337-6107)/in person delivery, please see the bottom of this page.  Link to children’s online registration form here.

Registration is only confirmed once VSA Nevada receives registration form and payment. Classes are limited in size and are offered on a ‘first come first served” basis. Students needing to withdraw from a class after registering may receive a tuition refund less $5 administrative cost if VSA Nevada is notified five business days before the first session of class. No refunds thereafter. Scholarships and Gift Certificates available.

Washoe County School District staff receives 10% off for our art workshops. To pay discounted price, please call 775-826-6100 ext 3#.

GIFT CERTIFICATES – Give the gift of creativity!

Gift certificates are available for all VSA Nevada workshops and camps. Certificates can be purchased by credit card, check or cash in any amount. Call 826-6100 x3# or email info@vsanevada.org.

If you would like to provide a workshop/camp for a child who could not afford one.  Workshops/Camps range from $45 – $95.

Summer Art Camp (June 10-14)

Paint the Masters (July)

Explore painting in new and unique ways while experimenting with various painting styles. Learn all about the visual elements of how to place shapes in a composition and to work with line, texture and various applications of color.  Students create their own masterpieces inspired by the art of several master classic and modern painters.


Art Start (July)

Creatively express yourself through art journaling.  Learn techniques and mediums to create a personal journal all about you and your unique life...there are so many possibilities!  Through fun prompts participants explore creative lettering and many visual methods that aim to inspire you to free up your inner thoughts and dreams artistically.


Collage and Paper Experiments

This fun and creative class will nurture participants’ unique artistic ability as they explore various art techniques using collage techniques and paper in different ways and each week. After School Workshops

After school workshops summer/fall schedules for Caughlin Ranch, Double Diamond, Roy Gomm, Huffaker, Hunsberger, Jesse Hall, Van Gorder and Westergard Elementary Schools are being posted.  These workshops are for students who attend these schools.  If you are interested in starting an after-school workshop program at your school, please contact our Program Director at 826-6100, ext. 2# or mary@vsanevada.org.
