Ric Johnson
“Some of my earliest memories are of desert sunsets. Flaming pink and orange over a horizon of solid indigo-as though the bottom half of the sky was simply ripped away. Nevada sunsets. I don’t recall who started my drawing, but I have always loved making pictures. Sketching was my personal refuge throughout school and later during my work life. My written materials were always well decorated. Now I am painting most every day-I am such a lucky man. I was recently asked, “Why so many colors?” ”Why? Because I can.”
